Beautiful Abruzzo, wonderful region in the Middle of the Italian peninsula. This is the Pescara seafront. Nice People, good fish and wine.

Aug 2019
We walked from Fontana Piazza I Maggio to Ponte Del Mare, for not a fit person it took us around 25/30min. there are lot of restaurants on the beach side and lido's with kids area which are open during the day.

A nice walk!
Jul 2019
After spending a whole day at the beach this is an excellent place for an evening, relaxing walk, listening to the sea and stop at one of the restaurants or bar.

A bit like little Miami Beach
Aug 2019 • Couples
Seeing & being seen, full of good fish restaurants and beach clubs (stabilimento). Nice for running, a walk, in-line skating (only in the mornings or periods with few people) or just hanging around. Can become quite crowded, especially in the evenings.
My tip: a water ice (granita) at Lido beach next to Nave di Cascella fountain. It’s made of different types of fresh fruits and sooo yummy 😋

nice walk

For a crowded city this is a nice beachfront. Parking here is absolute impossible. And it is difficult to find a parking garage. Just drive around.

Wen on he beach front

Having lived near Pacific Ocean beaches most of my life, I found those "wave" barriers really curious "What waves?", but I must say, that I also found the spot very relaxing and absolutely walking distance from so many restaurants and bars that I lost count

A nice promenade to stroll along
Apr 2018 • Family
Whilst staying in the Abruzzo region in April, we found all too often that the things we had selected to do each day were inevitably closed. We would typically arrive at a town or city around 11am and after grabbing a quick coffee set off for the first monument, church or tower. The running joke by mid way through the week though was that whatever we selected to do next would not matter as it would inevitably be closed anyway. Just a shame it all too often proved to be the case.

Whilst in Pescara we decided to spend most of our day on and around the beach as it was predicted to be the nicest day of our week. Overall the beach is very nice and well appointed with the usual cafes and restaurants just off the front along the Lungomare Giacomo Matteotti which is the main promenade.

As you wander the central length of the promenade you are spoilt for restaurants catering to all tastes and various gelatarias. However as you progress further along the beach to the two extents though what becomes more apparent was the increasing urban decay and the extent to which the graffiti spread across the bridges and any other surface available.

So in summary nice in the middle but a bit disappointing at the extents

Take a walk
Apr 2018 • Couples
I loved to go for a walk here. Great atmosphere walking along the coastline with no cars in the way. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants too.

Beautiful Promenade for Walking and People Watching
Sep 2017 • Couples
Very good place for walking and watching people. Along this promenade you can walk or bike ride. There are many restaurants as well as places for you to go to the beach, where you can change, shower, have a lounge chair on the sand, or something to eat.

A summer night by the sea
Aug 2017 • Couples
Right and left from Piazza Salotto, this maritime corso is the place to be, to walk, to eat, to see and to be seen when in Pescara. Large enough to accomodate the influx of tourists, with bicycle lanes all along and lined with restaurants and clubs up to the new bridge, it offers the opportunity to spend a pleasant summer evening, doing what tourists are supposed to do when on holiday by the sea.
