Chose a clear sky and sunny day, not too hot, walk the mile on the beach side and return on the tre lined side. Meet centenarian trees, greek ruins and modern statues. Beautiful buildings and here and there gazebos that serve you a so called "aperitif" which is accompanied by so much local "tasting" of local dishes that you will... More

Walk along this well trod promenade several times. Not wholly impressed. A bit tired and shabby in places. Out of season it seems hard to imagine it in full swing. Lovely views across the Messina Straits to see Sicily. Nice statue and modern Amphitheatre type area, but masonry around statue spoilt by graffiti. Think the whole promenade needs a facelift.... The lungomare has fantastic views over to Sicily and is a wonderful place to take a leisurely stroll, day or night. Plenty of bars, restaurants and gelataria to visit.

This promenade has amazing views of sicily and the cristal water beach. The walk is broad and full of families in summer. A must enjoy in Reggio Calabria!

This street along the beach has many good ice-cream and aperitif bars with nice terraces and great quality food. There are some archaeological finds towards the end and some modern art sculptures too. The views onto Sicily are beautiful and often in the summer there are free concerts and of course the "lidi" below which are trendy bar/beach establishments. People... More

Lungomare Falcomata is one of the most beautiful lungomare we have walked in Italy. The view is exceptional, ahead of you is Strait of Messina and behind that you can see Sicily and Etna. There are beaches alongside Lungomare and it is a perfect place to a morning run or an evening passeggiata. Lots of bars and restaurants along it... More
