This is one of those special places in the world. The atmosphere is great. Just sit and have a coffee in the cafe in the square. Magic!!!

This lovely Piazza is very busy with many restaurants and shops. It is very charming in the evenings with walking and people watching. Lot of shops and restaurants in the Piazza and the streets connecting to the Piazza. Meeting place for many tours, traffic is kept to a minimum, very easy to get around and cross the streets. Very fun... More

Centre of town where you can watch the world go by in quaint cafes and restaurants dotted all around.or sample a good range of shops and then there is what they call "The Drains" hundreds of little shops offering all sorts of things.

It's worth having a coffee in the café beside the piazza and watching the drivers and pedestrians. Gets absolutely mad in summer.

We often found ourselves back in, or near to, this location during our various walks around Sorrento. It is a popular and busy area, and joining point for the land-train which takes you around the local area. There is a good view down onto the hair pin road which leads to the marina. The alleyways of the old town with... More

It was very busy at Christmas. There was a massive Christmas tree in the middle of the square which lit up and played a song once every half an hour. There were Christmas lights everywhere. Fantastic experience!!

Of course, this is the central part of Sorrento and meeting point for local buses and people in the city. We especially love it on Sunday night when everyone seems to be out walking around and there are very few cars or motorcycles.

Plenty of restaurants and bars giving a good selection of people watching places over a beer / coffee / snacks

If you're in Sorrento for a day or two - do not miss Piazza Tasso. There are lots of restaurants, small shops and many souvenir shops to find wonderful buys. Seafood salads are good at most restaurants - great grilled quid - calamari and other sea foods. Many family owned business in the area. A great place to sit, relax... More
