SNAV Stromboli Naples ferry
Jun 2021 • Friends
Prepare for a moonwalk when taking a SNAV ferry. We spent 4 1/2 hours on the boat from Stromboli to Naples. The journey started with a leaking roof which caused massive movement on the boat from the people at the window seats. Unfortunately there were no no empty seats (well, there were but they were packed with luggage) so some people decided just to stand for 4 hours. After that, the airconditioning decided to lower itself to freezing temperatures. I say it as if it had decided to do this by itself but since there was no announcement or apology, I cannot conclude otherwise. The temperature that I last felt on Mount Everest, led to people putting on gloves. It was 30C outside. To further enlighten the ride, people started vomiting all around us. We arrived half frozen in Naples. Next time we will save for a helicopter.

Self-Service food aweful
Aug 2020 • Couples
Self Service - worst food I ever had. Everything deep fried, fish with spine, shrimp's heads... Don't buy it! You can get super B food from the cruiser restaurant for a better price.

Only positive to get to the point of desitination
Jul 2020
The staff is as negative as it gets. Constant rudeness, no help, very unfriendly and very lazy.
Suitcase is 2€ per item extra, on top of the 21€ we already paid. I find it extreme to keep on paying more for your luggage. The

Sorrento to Capri June 2019 - return fare E19.50 each Think it took 20-30 mins.
Jun 2019
We booked to go on the early morning crossing from Sorrento to Capri and the price was E19.50 this was in early June 2019 for a return crossing. It seems a lot of money as the crossing is only about 20-30 mins (if remember correctly, but not long). It is very comfortable inside and despite only being a short journey we both nodded off on the way back! But we had had a very busy and full day and early start. I guess also Capri is the place to go and you cant get a bus there so companies can charge more!

V rude and unhelpful
Oct 2019 • Couples
Arrived in Capri and immediately bought our return tickets. Told very clearly pier 10.
We and numerous others arrived at the pier in good time, but no boat arrived.

Eventually we went back to the ticket office to be told it had already gone from pier 21 and they shrugged off the incorrect details we had been given. They then said it was our problem and refused to transfer us onto another boat.
Very rude and indifferent. Strongly recommend using a firm that actually gives correct information and respects its customers.

Boat is REALLY rough, even on super calm days!
Oct 2019 • Couples
The weather was calm and sunny and the sea looked flat, however, this did not make for a smooth ride on the SNAV passenger ferry! Many people got very seasick (the staff spent most of the trip handing out and disposing of bags) and lots of people were very freaked out by the strong movement on the very slight waves. Even myself, a relatively experienced sailor and ferry user, did not enjoy this ride due to the extreme bobbing. The staff were trying to be supportive of those who were ill and I have no complaints for the company but needed to clear up on here that it is not rough seas that make this ride unenjoyable... It is just that even on a calm day. Safe to say, we got the ferry back with a different company!

Only use SNAV
Oct 2019
We were told a small ferry with 'Apollo' written on the side is the only ferry to Capri on the day and time we chose to do the trip even though we bought tickets for the SNAV fast ferry - do not get onto this ferry as we had a horrific experience - so many passengers got seasick and one passenger cut his head open on the bulkhead the journey was so rough and it also took 45 minutes - it spoilt our visit to Capri as we worried all the time about our return journey. We learnt on the Capri side that there are many SNAV ferries and one just needs to wait for one to arrive so we returned on the SNAV ferry - there was no comparison as the ride was smooth and much quicker.

Horribly expensive rip-off
Sep 2019
Only way to get to Capri - and dont they know it !

Tell me how it costs only 16 euros for an hour ferry to Amalfi from Sorrento, yet the 20 min crossing to Capri from the same point costs £20 per person each way?
An utter tourist rip-off which the Italian Government should regulate

Amazing company!
Sep 2019 • Friends
After reading a lot of reviews for this company I thought it would be best to share my experience and provide a good review of Snav ferry company. My cousin and I took snav local ferry from Naples to Procida island. We brought tickets on the day at the wharf, they were efficient and provided us with the necessary information. They were on time, the boat was clean and the ride was smooth and quick. The company exceeded our expectations of a local ferry company. We would definitely recommend this ferry company if you are looking for a way to see the islands surrounding Naples. Thanks Snav!
