We walked here from old town in about 30 minutes. It's a great slow paced linear exploration of this ruined castle. From the top you have access to many photo ops and views. There is one wall that drops very far to the sea.. sea birds swarming around come close for photos.. the newer castle is not far so you... More

Nice views. The walk is ALL up hill, untill you're done then its all down hill! There are plenty of restaurants at the base of Castel dell'Ovo, unfortunately we didn't rat at any of them because they were closed. We were there around 2pm./1400.

When touring a historic attraction, I like to know its history. It's difficult to garner history from the premises of Castel del l'Ovo. Only a handful of historical markers are posted. So I did an internet search. The castle is the oldest standing fort in Naples. The site was originally a city on an island, settled by Greeks 600 years... More

A must for those visiting Naples. One does not need much time and the view from the castle is impressive. The visit can be combined with lunch in one of the nearby restaurants.

I highly recommend this over the other castle nearby. My wife and I watched sunset from it and then ate diner right next to it. It was a great place to end a day at.

This is a must see castle mainly for its incredible view over the bay of Naples. It is an interesting castle in its own right and its free to get in. In addition it is situated on a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge and there are several good restaurants on the island too. When you enter... More

A Medieval castle with incredible sea views. Bonus: the castle visit is free of charge and you can buy some water in the machine there

This is located down by the port and has a really great view and looks awesome in pictures. The walk up is great to admire this beast, saw a lot of couples here taking it in or looking for the egg perhaps. Locals love it and so do I
