This is a fascinating tour (in English) and well worth doing if you have done all the usual Naples area attractions. May not be appreciated by all children but ours thoroughly enjoyed it. A couple of tunnels are so narrow I had to move sideways...More

We initially went for the Italian tour, but soon realized it was going to be a lot of talking. Luckily one of the guides spoke English and gave us a private tour in English.

One of the favorite things we did in Naples. Amazing history of the city and the tour made me wonder what else is hidden under the city. You will have to climb down many (190) steps to get to the ancient aqueducts which means you...More

We took the underground tour as part of another tour. Glad we did. Yes, bit of a hike down the stairs into the cistern, and a somewhat shorter climb back out at the end of the tour. But well worth your time. There are some...More

English tour very popular, buy your tickets early in the day to ensure you are on the tour you want Some tunnels so narrow you have to shuffle sideways, best not to have rucksack as becomes a challenge in places

Great place to visit. Lots of history under the ground. Tours of 3 different sites which involves a street walk between each one, and each with a different vibe. Was a bit concerned about the optional part as tunnels are very narrow and have to...More

The english tour was led by an eruidite man who explained the fascinating history of these tunnels. The experience of the narrowest tunnels was exciting but keeping up with the others was difficult and quite scary as the lead group turned corners and left us...More

The city is a toilet: garbage and graffiti are both everywhere. A nice escape from the jostling, garbage, crazy drivers and noise is below ground level. Interesting history and the guides are amazing. Best 10 euros spent.

Very cool to visit the underground bunkers that the people of Naples used for shelter in WWII along with the original wells of the city. The guides were animated and informative and it was fun to see so many groups of school children seeing this...More

Having found the Sotterranea by chance, we decided to explore it. The tunnels go down at least 150ft and at some point more than that. If you are agriphobic, most of the tunnels are wide, but there is a point when you will have to...More
