The Temple of Jupiter, built in the 2nd century BC, is dedicated to the highest divinity of ancient times. The temple 'closed off' the fourth side of the square where there were no colonnades.

So many building still partially standing here with Mt. Vesuvius looming in the background making it kind of eeire. Just image how busy this place was 2000 years ago is cool.
