The tour guide I had, Luca, was simply super. Very outgoing and energetic and very knowledgeable about the sights on the tour. I booked this trip through Viator but got to meet Angelo, the founder of Livitaly before the tour. Luca took time to explain all the unusual idiosyncrasies of the Colosseum, including how the Catholic Church took most of... More

Absolutely fabulous time with Nadia on the Colosseum and Ancient Rome Tour -- I've been booking tours through Viator and had been nervous about going direct but they were so easy to deal with (responding to questions in a timely manner) and sure easy to book. I had been dreaming of this trip for years -- I didn't think it... More

The company was on time at the meeting point and they were very organized. We were assigned Thomas who was a wonderful tour guide for us. Full of knowledge, very personable and fun. We never felt rushed, and he answered all our questions in detail and really made it a personal experience for us. I would certainly book with this... More

It was wonderful. Easier to get around and you didn't have to walk around all day wrh headphones in. Sergio was a... More

My wife and I usually go on food tours whenever we travel abroad. I have to say this was by far the best food tour we've had. This tour is a small group walking and eating tour around Rome. We got to experience many different types of roman food as well as see the streets of Rome through the eyes... More

Excellent tour My wife and I booked the tour through our travel agent, I was under the impression that we would be picked up at the hotel but alas we had to make our way to the pier. George, the owner, assured me that someone would be waiting for us and would conduct a private tour as opposed to a... More

Staying in Monti

Neighbourhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
