I cant believe I did not get around to add my review but we went to the class in January 2015 and this was such a fun part of our trip that my husband actually proposed on our walk after the class. Chef Andrea is so much fun and we had such a great experience with the class.

Chef Andrea created a wonderful working environment for 12 of us to learn and cook together. His kitchen is located in the special Travestere section of Rome, and it was spacious and well-equipped, filled with fresh seasonal ingredients for us to cook with. His English was excellent, as he has spent time in the states, and his instruction was meticulous,... More

I have taken several cooking lessons over the years and Andrea and his classes have been the best by far. The whole 5 hours are a combination of knowledge, flavors, friendliness, experience, smells...a treat to your senses, heart...and belly! Do not forget this is a cooking class after all, so it is important to point out that the fun and... More

We had a fantastic time. Chef Andrea explained how Roman sauces are related to one another, where to get the best artichokes, how to properly prepare spaghetti by hand, and much more. Food was wonderful and the other guests were very personable and up for a good time. I would definitely do this again.

Really great cooking class! Felt like we learnt loads from a very experienced, very knowledgable, roman chef. Great teacher, great food, well worth doing if you have a morning free in Rome!

The mark of a good cooking class is whether you can replicate it deliciously at home. Chef Andrea Consoli made that possible. In class we learned the traditional Roman way to prepare artichokes. We also learned to make a ricotta tart, a rolled beef entree and more. He wisely told us what to do if we couldn't find certain ingredients... More

November 2016, my husband and I traveled to Paris for one week and to Rome for one week. Upon our return, family and friends asked me what my favorite part of the trip was, and I found myself saying that it was this experience! I learned so much from this cooking class, and definitely feel capable of recreating the dishes... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of doing a cooking class here on January 7. We met fabulous people, had a ball with Andrea and learnt some fabulous cooking techniques and recipes. We also had some of the best wine we tried in Italy with our meal. Chef Andrea is a professional, while also being welcoming, funny and inclusive.... More

It's the best cooking class I ever had. We learned a lot about the history of roman cuisine, the local products and got to cook some delicious roman dishes + some suggestions that we made to the chef before the class. The atmosphere was really nice, and the chef is always there to help, joke and is so nice. Would... More

This was just the best . Every element of the day was fantastic . The food we were preparing was fresh and brought the morning of our class . We prepared and cooked four courses , that tasted delicious . I learnt so much and had the best time with the 11 other people people cooking and not to mention... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
