What they don't tell you when you book a ticket online is that you shouldn't wait for a terravision bus to turn up. Even though you have a terravision ticket, there is no terravision bus from Termini to Ciampino. Would be very useful to know beforehand that it's a different company that you're looking for.

Booked return journey online Ciampino to Termini for 5 passengers. Landed at Ciampino to be told next 2 buses cancelled for technical reasons. Used another company. Turned up at Termini for the return journey, bus cancelled for reason unknown, next departure way to late, again used another company. Will never use Terravision again...Again? Never had the chance to use them... More

Did buy a return ticket online at 8€ before arriving at Rome. Ready at the busstop 7, 13:45. No bus, no information, a ticket sale without anyone to sell ticket or to ask for information, but a sign that read "next bus 15:05!!! Queue full of waiting customers. Gave up at 14:20 and took another buscompany. One Way ticket 6€.... More

We arrived at Fiumicino Airport and walked along to the bus station. The ticket office was easy to find and the staff friendly. We paid for return tickets 8 euros each, including our 9 year old daughter (under 5s free, but no other child discount). We were given a timetable and advised of how to get our bus back again.... Absolutely diabolical!!! We booked our tickets online and from the outset , the lady at the desk was extremely rude and unhelpful. The buses were meant to arrive every 30 mins but the timetable screen was very misleading as the buses would drop off its passengers but never collect. We waited for over an hour and to top it all... terrible service! we booked the tickets online from fiumicino to rome and the bus never came!! and it was the last one for that day. customer service does not want to give us our money back! (there are plenty of other buses at fiumicino, no need to book in advance, you pay directly to the driver)

My family purchased tickets ahead of time for transportation to and from the Rome airport. Needless to say we arrived and were waiting for our bus to show up. The ticket agent "said" the bus was broken down and my family waited 2 hours for a bus to show up. On our return got worse. We had tickets in hand... More

Excellent, easy website to use, booked tickets Fiumiciono to Rome with no issue. Beware that ticket you print at home is NOT valid on the bus. We were told we had to go to the ticket booth to change to a valid ticket, lady there said to go to bus stop and fortunately the driver let us on. Don't assume... More

The worst transfer I have ever had a chance to travel with. First they sent me an e-mail that I need to go with another agency, which I couldn't do because I was not able to arrive at time for the last bus (20:25h, while I arrived at the station at 20:40h). Then, a Terravision bus came and refused to... More

From Ciampino to Roma Termini. I booked online ticket before our trip to Rome. On the airport there is no info where is correct bus stop but when we finally localized Terravision bus it was big surprise that they do not accept they own online tickets! We were informed (poor English mixed with Italian) by Terravision employee that if we... More

Staying in Piazza Venezia / Ancient City

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazza Venezia / Ancient City
If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here. Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very epicenter of the Eternal City. Within a 360-degree turn, Roman history unrolls in front of you, from its ancient beginnings to its 21st century transformations. Whether it’s those historical playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or the side-street shops, trattorie, and churches, this neighbourhood packs a cultural punch and then some. Screaming scooters, battling buses, crazy cars, and lots of foot traffic converge in the area all day long. By dusk, a different vibe emerges as the neighbourhood quiets down. Don't be surprised if you find yourself passing through the Piazza Venezia at least once a day, since it’s the most direct way to get from one side of town to another.
