I came upon this place by accident after a grueling 4 hours on one of the Vatican tours. Not to mention my handbag which I think weights 10lbs. They had a special 15 euros for 15 minutes and it was lovely. She found all the nots in my upper back. It was just so good. This is not a light... More

After a long day touring around the Vatican, I thought of indulging in some foot massage before I head back to hotel. I went to Baan Thai which for a foot massage. I found its name on some magazine in my room and it had good ratings. It was a disappointing and a complete waste. The location of the shop... More

We are sorry you did not have a good impression of our place. As we tend to stress, the interior is an original Thai house brought back from Thailand and we give it all the attention it needs, as it thoroughly cleaned everyday, but maybe it can appear a little old and worn at times. We are sorry for that.... More

The atmosphere was gorgeous and relaxing, everyone was so kind! Asked for a Swedish massage (it was offered online) what I got was not as such. It was like a skin massage, no pressure was applied, just my skin rubbed. At times it hurt and felt like an Indian burn (idk the proper name). I left leaving way more tense... More

I booked here because I wanted to get a Traditional Thai Massage done after I visited Vatican City and been looking forward to being pulled, clicked and stretched. The place is lovely, with very friendly, accommodating staff. I was taken downstairs into a hall with mattresses on the floor. I changed into my straight jacket clothes (that's what the clothes... You never know what to expect with a massage in foreign city. I can tell you that I was having severe feet challenges in Rome because of a fractured ankle suffered 6 months ago. I walked in and was greeted with a warm smile. Then I was sitting in a lovely, calm room with tea, water or whatever I wanted.... More

I had been experiencing some significant tension in my neck and shoulders, searched the the Internet for places in Rome, and settled on Baan Thai. Located not far from the Vatican, Baan Thai is easily accessible, serene, clean, and professionally managed. Everyone was kind and helpful. I told my masseuse about the problems I was having and she dedicated special... More

I was there 15 minutes before scedueld time, when I came they gave me green tea and ginger so I felt great. However massage was not so good, let say it was average. It was 10 minutes shorter! Place is not so clean as I expected. I am not going back.

After intense traveling for 3 weeks, my husband and I needed a massage and we were NOT disappointed with Baan Thai massages. We were in a couples room and our relaxing massage was fabulous. Arrived in plenty time (30 mins before appointment) to be told the actual massage was running a few mins behind schedule. Not a problem. Was guided into a hut like waiting room and although nicely decored, we were told to help ourselves to green tea or herbal tea from plastic cups. Basically sat in waiting room for over an hour.....no... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
