This property is stunning internally and externally. Worth the trip from Rome. The gardens are stunning with so many kinds of water feature to enjoy. The trees and the flowers were equally amazing. We were luck to enjoy the springtime flowers and warm temperatures.

This Villa built in the 16th century is an amazing place to visit for the gardens and fountains. The fountains are all feed maturely with no pumps but using aqueducts and gravity. The foundations with the organ is just a sight that cannot be missed....More

Its like Versailles, but with water....An absolute dream. I could wander the gardens for hours. Give yourself plenty of time to see it, we were a bit rushed with only an hour to see it all.

So beautiful place! with musical fountains that 'start playing' at different times. It was 18:00 when we were there, but please check their website. It was very hot weather when we were there so being next to water was amazing! Beautiful place onside and outside....More

Tivoli is just a 1hour bus drive from central Rome. Villa d'Este is a must to those who like manicured gardens (try to schedule during a non raining/cloudy day) as otherwise you'll miss a lot. Factor around 2,5 hours to visit the villa/frescos and the...More

Whether you're inside or outside, the buildings and grounds of the Villa d'Este will overwhelm you with what wealth and privilege could afford back in Renaissance times. Exceptional decorative arts and grounds, great places to linger, and sweeping vistas that your camera won't be able...More

Well worth the effort if you enjoy walking in well maintained and managed gardens. The fountains were very impressive but the water organ was disappointing given the amount of hype it was given.

Well worth a visit! Don't be deceived by the rather unassuming entrance to this gem in the middle of Tivoli. A haven of peace an tranquility
