Most of Vatican City is not accessible by the general public. Most visitors see Vatican Museum, St. Peter's Basilica, and St. Peter's Square

Being inside those walls feels amazing, what an amazing place . Do book a tour to skip the lines. Painting were just amazing, we were lucky that even being Saturday it was not crowded where you couldn’t move or take pictures. You have to visit...More

If not in Rome specifically for the Vatican, make it a place to visit as part of your stay. Would recommend the Museums as worth the entrance fee - some impressive works on show.

Visited the Vatican today and it had highs and lows. Suggest visiting the magnificent St Peters Basilica and Square (both free). Skip the museums / Sistine chapel which are expensive and intolerably crowded.

I thought I had to go see the Vatican because of its beauty. But I regret going there. The experience was eye opening and awful. There is so much wealth in there it is mind blowing. There is so much wealth yet it continues to...More

How could you ever come to Roma and not take the Vatican tours. Lines are long so buy ahead. Do not miss the Old Bridge Gelateria when you are done with your tour-so worth it

Nice place to visit in Italy , I suggest you to book the tickets before to avoid the rush. Also , you have to take the ticket that give the access to enter all the areas in the city. You don’t need a guide.

Wow, do not go to Rome in the summer. It is awful, so many people that it is hard to enjoy the sights. And hot! Also, garbage everywhere, graffiti everywhere, beggars. Too bad, such a historically amazing place and people trash it. I am surprised...More

It's amazing in this day and age the amount of homelessness we see. But to see the homelessness outside the city walls makes me think about a lot of things. Almost to a point of disgust. To walk Vatican City and see all it's riches...More

It is free to visit but go early to beat the crowd. Dress code to enter the church - no exposed shoulders. No short shorts (below the knee is ok). No short tops. Because it gets warm/hot in Rome, you can just bring a light... More

Yes. But it will be complicated and you'll have to use the elevators. Remember this place is extremely crowded. Pick up a disability guide when you get there. Find an attendant as soon as you get there to skip the line. if... More

I would definitely advise booking skip the queue tickets in advance. I have also seen smaller select tours advertised on trip advisor. Would defs Italy look at those too. Better to spend a little more and gave a quality... More
