This house is on one of the main streets in Urbino. There is very little to show that it is actually the house where Rafael grew up, but it is a very good example of a typical town house of that period.

I'm sure the house would have been fantastic to see but unfortunately the times listed on their website didn't correspond to the times it was actually open. There was a sign outside saying it was open in the mornings until 1300, whereas the website implied...More

This is a must do for anyone visiting Urbino. In the steep via Raffaello is the house where there painter was born. Now a museum, it's worth a visit, to have an idea of what a Renaissance house was like, and to get a feeling...More

....it's worth a short visit to the birthplace of Raffaello. 30-40 minutes maximum necessary. Mainly of interest to see the suggestion of what a 15th/16th century residence may have been.

So well done. You get a real sense of the history of Raffaello and his father. A must. Staff is so friendly and nice.

We didn't go inside - it was enough just to think we are walking the streets that he grew up in and where he was nurtured.

Worth visiting this little museum for a glance into life of Urbino's famous son. Interesting to see layout of a medieval house. Centrally positioned.

I like Raffaello's birthplace very much, not because it is hugh and impressive, but because it shows how life was possible during the renaissance.

Nicely preserved house from the middle ages. This is the main interest of the museum, with some beautiful paintings (but not too many of them). Worth a visit if you happen to soend some time in Urbino.
