Meeting Alessandro Martini for the first time at 7.30 in the morning is like having a double espresso, twice in one go. He is as animated and bright as his jacket (in the photos). Only one other guest, an American lady by the name of Nancy (I think) nearly out-talked him on the trip. Alessandro runs the top-rated to-do activity... More

What a great day out! Eleonara, the guide was simply delightful and very informative. I learned so much about Italian food and it's production. The 'light lunch' at the end of the day was sensational. I highly recommend doing this tour.

We were unsure whether to book this tour as it was quite expensive and we only had a few days in Bologna. But we are so glad we did and it was worth every penny! Eleanora and Alexandra were fantastic guides, so enthusiastic and informative- right from the early start, to the birth of their 'bambino' parmigiana cheeses, through the... More

A great opportunity to see where and how some amazing food is made. Eleonora was a wonderful guide, bringing both knowledge and passion to the tour. And food was out of this world - everything tasted right where is was made and a lunch that never seemed to end. Come with an appetite and you will not be disappointed.

A bit late for review as went on 10th December, cannot praise this trip enough. Fantastic trip with another 6 people, Eleanora our host was brilliant, full of life and knowledge. As mentioned day starts with cheese, onto balsamic, then prosciutto and finally finishing with a wonderful meal, plenty to eat and drink all day. Had a cracking time.

This tour was amazing. Anything I would say is just repeating what is already on this board. Suffice it to say, we had a wonderful time. We ate our hearts out and Alessandro is awesome. Totally worth the money. #DOP

I enjoyed this tour from start to end--right from when Raphael picked me up in early misty morning right on time to learning about Parmeggiano in a professional factory filled with warm, kind workers to discovering the beauty of the balsamic to getting mindblown by halls and halls of ham legs to dining in an unpretentious trattoria that served up... This was the first thing we booked after our flights to Italy and the thing I was most looking forward to. I was a bit hesitant and curious as to what all of the rave reviews were about, and now I know. It was my favorite day of our entire trip and a memory I will never forget. If you... More

If you love cheese or prosciutto, or authentic balsamic vinegar then this is the tour for you! It starts early but has to so you can see the parmasano reggiano process and taste it at various stages. On to see the house of pork shanks, yum! Then to the vinegar battery, tastings every step of the way. Ending with a... More

What a great day. I came by myself, but made friends during the activities. Leonora is a very charming guide, full of joy and good energy. She has a large knowledge of foodculture, so great combination! I learned much about the local products, the factories were impressive. Lots and lots of eating, it'a really worth the 150€. Taxidrivee Marco is... More
