Since 1999 offering Market-to-Table cooking classes, both day classes and half day classes. My classes are for very small numbers, they fill up quickly. The first months to fill are April/May and September/October so plan ahead! I offer home cooking in a well air-conditioned home kitchen making updated, well plated, traditional Italian meals and my apartment is right in the heart of the historic city. Beginners, experienced cooks, professional chefs, families with children all welcome! I do my utmost to give you a memorable day and a great culinary experience and teach all the classes personally. And if you or your travelling partner/s don't fancy cooking, I offer a morning market food tour ending in a light lunch to introduce you to Bologna, its history and its food. Any questions, just email to ask!

I love cooking, I love eating and I love Italy, so I am sure that it made perfect sense for my boyfriend to arrange one of Carmelita's cooking classes as a 'birthday/holiday' treat for me. Carmelita was a warm, interesting, insightful and convivial host. She...More

This was a highlight of my whole trip. We started with a "market tour" in Bologna (after meeting Carmelita over espresso:) where we went into small, true culinary artisan shops to see the finest Italian products (think cheese that will make you cry) and meet...More

Actually, it’s more than a cooking class. It’s a cultural tour through Italy. Carmelita is a most knowledgeable tour guide and engaging culinary master. We signed up for the full day and were treated to the history of the entire region and historical insights that...More

Sorry missed this, I do not expect to find requests for bookings here. People usually send a Trip Advisor request or else they send an enquiry from my website. My apologies!
