Located high over the city this little and lovely church rewards the visitor with one of the best panoramic view of Bologna. The bus trip to get there also takes the visitor to beautiful parts of town.

It is only a short walk up the hill from the city centre to this church. The church and hospital are connected. The church is stunning, but the hospital has some great history and beautiful frescoes as well. It is a bit complicated to find...More

We took a short bus ride from the city to the church which is set high above the city. The best part of the church are the frescoes which cover the sacristy. To get to the cloisters we had to ask a nurse as the...More

Although everyone speaks of the walk to San Luca (which is beautiful in it's own right!), the views of Bologna from San Michele in Bosco are far, far better. The walk is much shorter and the reward reached far quicker. The church itself is not...More

This church is on a small hill just outisde the city wall. I went there early in the morning to see the sun rise over the city. It's a beautiful view from up there and it's reasonable easy to get to.

San Michele in Bosco is on Bologna hills but very easy to reach, both by bus (30) or walking. If you decide to walk I suggest to go up from Porta S. Mamolo (Via Codivilla) entering the park you find down and reaching the church...More

The church is on a hill outside Bologna. There is a free parking close to it and we also saw a bus stop there as well. From there on it's maybe 2-3 minute walk to the church. The church itself is large, but nothing special,...More

A pleasant walk up the hill is rewarded by a stunning view over Bologna. We did not visit the church, but spent a very enjoyable 20 minutes scanning the city and taking pictures.
