Astronomical observation tower built in the early 18th century, when its setting, the Poggi Palace, was converted into the Science Institute. Today it is an astronomy museum open to the public.

Very knowledgeable student tour guide who taylored her tour to our knowledge base. A 1 hour tour turned into 2 hours and was fastinating. We didn't book in advance but did arrive early in the morning for thre 10.30 tour we were on our own.
