This museum occupies one long "sleeve" of the Palazzo della Pilotta. If you want to see it, you have to have an appointment. This place has over a million books from all over the world and is a major resource for historians (and other scholars). When we were there, they had an interesting exhibit on bread - which didn't sound all that interesting when we heard about it, but it really way. One of the treasures of the Palazzo Farnese. You must not be a library fan, but this is a very interesting place, with a lot of excellent exhibits.
