It's home to the the lowest mountain refuge in Italy (82 msm). Nice place for a walk and/or lunch or a snack.

Have reviewed this under Carso. You can get the bus from Trieste and find fantastic, demanding walking and higher up there is a cycling path. It is proper hiking though and you are wise to come with appropriate footwear.
