Excavated into quite a good condition. You can see it from the street, but not wander round it (unless you are part of a group of students with prior arrangement).

It was very awe-inspiring to view these ruins and think about the people who lived there. They can be viewed from the road above or directly in front. Further up the road, there is what is left of a gate that homes have been built...More

So easy to find and a great site for seeing an older Roman Theater. Highly recommend you walk over and see this as it is free and obviously historic. The Arco di Riccardo is also not far from here.

Completely free to visit, this largely intact amphitheatre, is right in the heart of the downtown area and is well maintained and definitely worth seeing.

Lovely Roman Theatre, really well preserved. It's right in the heart of the downtown and easily visible from the road. The stage and curved seating are all in excellent condition. Well worth a visit.

This place is easy to find (especially if you've just had the best gelatto at Gellatto Marco) and it bears so much history. As a creative, it helps you remember how important the past has been for your vocation.

We were only in Trieste one day and one night but I would return for longer longer time in a heartbeat. And this Teatro as an example of why. Trieste has quite a story to be told.
