After you've visited the towns of Cinque Terre, this is a nice way to see all of them from the water. We took the ferry from Monterosso al Mare to Riomaggiore in the mid-afternoon, when the lighting is right. Specify your destination at the ticket office to pay just the right amount. For those who are prone to seasickness, be... More

This is an essential part of the Cinque Terre coastal tour, because several of the coastal trails are closed due to landslides. The boats are relaxing and the views are great.

I am not a very good sea traveler but we took a bus in la Spezia to the train station and bought a ticket to Monterrosso from there we got a ticket for the ferry that stops at all the little villages except one. The ferry is quick only 15 mins between villages and it was amazing the views from... More

You can take a car or a train to visit these lovely towns but viewing them from the water is totally awesome! The ferry stops at four of the 5 towns since Corniglia is not accessible by boat. the ferry does not run if the seas are rough. The day we chose was a perfect day for cruising. You can... More

We purchased a shore excursion through the cruise ship and 5 Terre Gulf of the Poets were the contracted company. I usually like to organize excursions on our own to save money but didn't this time and I'm sure I paid quite a premium through the ship. The crews were safe & friendly and the boats were nice with top... More

We thought the boat trip to the beautiful Cinque Terre would be the highlight of our holiday and it is indeed a beautiful and interesting trip but it is totally ruined by the enormous groups of people who turn up from the cruise ships. We arrived in good time and had a good seat but were amazed by how many... More

While I think this is probably the only way one can really get to the seaside villages of Cinque Terre, I'm not a lover of boats. We just so happened to go out on this thing on a cold and windy day, so I can't really say how the views were because I stayed on the enclosed part. I will... More

We bought a day ticket and travelled from La Spezia to Monte Rosso and backwards. The boat was completely full with so many tourists but it was just beautiful and amazing getting to the lovely villages via sea.

My boyfriend wanted to go on a "daily tour" around the 5 Terre where you have the opportunity to visit the 5 lands &see them for an hour each. Sadly we arrived too late to take the 11:15am boat so we waited for the next one which was at 12:OO pm but that was the "afternoon tour" which consisted of... More
