Great Wine Shop & Italian Gourmet Shop

Very helpful friendly service. Helped us choose several nice bottles of wine and did a balsamic tasting for us to choose some great real balsamic vinegars to bring home.

We stopped here to try out some local wines while on holiday. Found a great selection of local red&white. The staff were very helpful and the tasting "machine" worked a treat. The shop offers a fedex service so we sent a selection of what we liked home. Great service, worked very well.

I guess it was Lorenzo who helped us choose a wine to take back to our hotel to enjoy on our patio, and he was very helpful. He asked if we had wine glasses and we told him we didn't, but would have to suffer the tumblers in our room. He insisted we borrow some nice wine glasses to bring... More

Perfect stop for a quick casual wine tasting. Plenty of local wines to chose from. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful explaining the type of wine you taste. Inexpensive and very good variety. Would definitely return!

We stayed in Varenna but took the ferryboat to Belaggio. There we went to the Enoteca to taste some local wines. The place is very cozy and beautiful inside. We order a mixed salad with buffalo mozzarella with eggplant. It was delicious and very pleasant. The service is really nice.

We wandered into this place after trudging up and down the hills of Belagio and head a nice conversation with the owner who gave us a very helpful primer on northern Italian wines together with some very nice tastings from his tasting bar. Bought a nice bottle to enjoy later.

We visited Enoteca Principessa primarily as a wine-tasting experience, and we were not disappointed! The "wine-tasting machines" make for a difference experience - you are provided with a card which is charged for every wine you try. Wines on offer are an interesting mix of traditional and more original varieties typical of the region which we are not typically marketed... More

Excellent selection of grappa and the owner is knowledgeable. I told him my favorite brand, and though he did not have it, he knew it's flavor profile and let me sample a very similar one.

We went here based on the TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed! The lady was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to helping us taste the wines. It was a great experience tasting wines which were local and also some from other regions of Italy. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

When I saw, "Wine Tasting Machines" I was skeptical but I was so wrong! Awesome owner helped us get started. Put in the card, pick which wines you want to try as many times as you like then he charges you what you drank. Still cheaper than most tastings and custom tailored to your preferences!
