we went up on our first day in Como, early September morning, there wasn't a cloud in the sky but brisk, about 13 C. Spectacular scenery on the way up, but you need to spend some time at the top, give your self half a day at least. We wondered down to the left, and had a bottle of Prosseco... More

The views of Como from the furnicolare are disappointing, very disappointing. But it is relatively cheap, good coffee at Como and of course great views from the top and better views from the lighthouse. I recommend the trip.

The funicular ride from Como to Brunate is pleasant and fairly cheap. Once there, you enjoy a beautiful view over the lake and the mountains. A few restaurants up there although we did not stay long. Worth it if only for the view.

Worth the effort to take the funicular railway or drive; although the drive is not for the feint hearted. Very steep narrow and twisty road The views are amazing across the lake into Switzerland and down into the town of Como

We were very excited about seeing the sights of Lake Como with a view that was breathtaking. We stayed in Milano and a short rail trip (1hour) low cost to Lake Como was a must for a day's trip. We would definitely recommend looking at the weather forecast first as we were very lucky with a clear winters sunny day.... More

It worth the money but next time I would take an one way ticket for the ascend and walk the path back to Como. The view to the lake is limited and you might find interesting going up the hill to the lighthouse. It is intersting to learn about the history of the Funicolare.

This was a must do when at como. The view at the top is spectacular. You can see the snow covered mountains in the distance! It really was breathtaking!!! We carried on trekking higher to the lighthouse at the very top! (This was steep and hard work and my calves paid the next day) but it was amazing to see... More
