Generally find lot of Italian churches over decorated and very dark but this one was better. Lovely Rose window and vaulting on ceiling. Information leaflets in various languages but panels with further information on the building of the church which looked interesting were only in Italian which we found a bit challenging.

Where we stayed overlooked this beautiful Cathedral and we had the luxury of hearing its bells throughout the day. It is the pillar of Como and what you first see. It was beautiful to photograph both inside and out and loved learning its history as well!

This large Gothic style cathedral w/ bell tower & dome was constructed between 1396-1770 and is located in the center of Como. Very different from the cathedrals in Florence and very attractive. Smelled great. Brochure in English is given for your donation of one Euro. Beautiful blue ceilings and stained glasses with one modern window that doesn't quite belong, but is beautifully done.

In the heart of the old part of the city you can find the Duomo. Walk around it to have the chance to observe from all perspectives and then rest for a while inside. Peace lingers among the beautiful walls!

Como is beautiful place. The cathedral, as all Italian churches is beautiful inside and out. It is located in a beautiful square where you can have good italian coffee and enjoy the view.

If one is in Como, one cannot miss this beautiful cathedral. It is ancient, and Mass there ( in Italiano of course) is serene and awe-inspiring.

be sure to have your "donation" of 1€. there was a gatekeeper when we went! spectacular views once inside. was it worth it? once you've seen St. peter's basilica in Rome and the Duomo in Florence and Milan; all others come in 2nd place
