There were many different types of species of plants, trees, and flowers. The gardens were very well taken care of. The only thing I thought was the price was a bit to high for a walk through the gardens. But perhaps they had to charge...More

A very nice walk that descends for quite a bit so be prepared for the graduated ascent. Old growth trees with a panoramic Lake Como view. Many specimens and even in late October there was many flowers in bloom.

We walked to the Villa and took the garden only tour. The garden was excellently maintained, and in fall bloom. The views of the garden and the lake were spectacular.

The museum was closed. But. The gardens are unbelievable ,they follow Lake Como. This is worth a stroll if in Varenna.

The museum was not open but we enjoyed walking through the grand terraced gardens which are meticulously maintained. Classic Italian gardens with sculpture and lake views- I would love to visit in early summer.

We were staying in Menaggio so we took the ferry to Varenna. This took less than 20 mins and was very cheap and a lovely way to see the lake.
