Exquisite villa and gardens in large plot of land. Amazing display of plants, especially palms. House is worth a visit too.

The garden was beautiful, clinging onto the slope towards the lake. However, it didn't fullfil my expectations - some plants were dry and there were quite some weeds. The entrance fee was reasonable anyway. (We did not visit the villa itself.)

This Villa is very close to the city square and an absolute beautiful building and surrounding gardens. Everywhere you turned was worthy of a photograph. How lucky were these people to have lived in such grandeur!!! A must see!!!

You can get to the villa by walking along the lakeside path, climbing up to the town centre and then walking on to the villa. This is a very long narrow lakeside garden with beautiful views across the lake. The villa was formally a Cistercian...More

Pretty expensive and villa needs an update. Bathrooms smelled like an open grave. Rooms were pretty much un restored. Wished the main Villa had more to see, not too impressive. View outside was fantastic. Lot better Villas to see in the area.

This is a picture postcard perfect property with a lovely lakefront palace with beautiful landscapes grounds. It’s a bit of a walk from the ferry jetty, but worth it.

This was a surprise! My wife and I were just walking around with no definite plans. We decided to go in since it was only 5 euros apiece to see the gardens. We decided not to go to the actual monastery which also looked great....More

It was so hot today, we decided to plan a late visit. We’d already done a guided tour of Villa Serbelloni in the morning, so this worked well. We arrrived just after 5pm and the garden closes at 7pm. We enjoyed both the house and...More

I am not sure if it is open. But, however if it is not open, you can walk along the road about 7 feet from above it and actually see it all from the road.

We were staying in Menaggio so we took the ferry to Varenna. This took less than 20 mins and was very cheap and a lovely way to see the lake.
