On our way down to the town centre, we decide to stop off at Daniel's for coffees, hoping to have better service than our last visit. This time the waiter came to take our order very quickly and the coffees came promptly. We have found that generally coffees in Italy are not as hot as at home, but they are still enjoyable. After climbing mount Mottarone and then coming down we were peckish. This bar has a great outlook over the lake. Simple pizza Napoli with a glass of gavi white wine was very nice. Fair service.

Having previously visited Daniels on several occasions and had great service, we decided to stop on our way into the town centre for a coffee. We were just sitting down at a table for 4, when we were told that we couldn't sit there as it was a table for 4(not set up) and we were only a 2. We were then shown where we could sit - inside- and it was a table for 6!!! Does this make any sense? Perhaps it does to the abrupt person who told us. It certainly put us off revisiting Daniels during our holiday.…
