Great historical palace! Unbelievable, people can sleep under artistic works from 1500! Great staff Who tell everything about history and works. Like Living in a museum.. Amazing!

OK, the palazzo is great, frescos (affreschi we should say), stucco mouldings, etc. but it's slightly whackily put together. The staff are a bit weird, there's "the professor", the obsessive receptionist with her rehearsed spiel and the bizzarre rows of empty seats - slight Roger Corman / Dr Phibes feel about the place. Plus the rooms aren't very comfortable, insane... More

It is a palace and you need some time to explore it. It is nicely restored and each room you visit is different.

This is a nicely restored palace in which you can visit two rooms and attend a roughly one hour explanation about concepts related to the baroque, the Italian culture and other concepts (from Benedetto Croce to Ligabue). Half entertaining half obnoxious experience (for 10€). Not sure why people love it. Surprising to see the Latin inscription commemorating the achievements of... More

It is amazing the historical importance of this place. The castle was incredible and yet no one ever mentions it as a tourist spot. W want to go back and use it as a base to explore the rest of that part of Italy.

don't miss this amazing palace. as you go along the visit, the rooms get better and better. the beginning of the route through this palace begins with a few rooms that suggest restoration is in process... but then you get upstairs and each room has a different theme and has decked out ceilings and walls with paintings, frescoes and carvings.

A lovely museum and wonderful guide telling you the story behind this palazzo. Congratulations Professor and family for buying the palazzo 22 years ago and caring enough to make it your life's work to restore it. For those wanting to see a real palazzo in use today then go visit this one. It is a family home and B&B. All... More
