It's stunning here but we couldn't afford a thing, so it was more of a thing to tick off our list of places to see.

One of the most recognizable buildings in Milan, and with one of the most complete high-end fashion collections housed here in the world, it's not hard to see why. The building structure itself is stunning. The ultra high glass roof and the simplicity of this structure is what makes this building unique and so easily recognizable, and is a must... More

It is a beautiful place if you don't see. Back that day how they make it and architecture that long time ago. It is a old heritage of Milan city.

A beautiful construction which happens to house high end shops. Even without Prada, Gucci, Versace and the rest, the Galleria is beautiful to visit. We walked through several times and hardly glanced at the shops. The architecture and artworks are wonderful and are 'must see' when in Milan.

Very interesting block of buildings in the very heart of the city and walkway connecting Duomo square and Scala. Lots of very expensive shops and few restaurants.

If you climb the tower of the Duomo then maybe you should visit this galleria. I say that with some hesitation. I am not at easy in these places of glaring affluence. Yes, it is a piece of art in its own purpose for being created in the first place. A good look at expensive shops. Prices at the restaurants... More

This shopping area is a sight to behold with its beautiful architecture and tiled floors. Everywhere you look there are fabulous high end shops to browse. Don't forget to stop to spin your heel in the floor on the symbol for Turin. Popular opinion says this is for luck but Turin is also known to be the great rival of... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
