Sensational Romanesque style church built in the early 16c...grand doorways lead to a beautiful chapel with frescoes, sculpture, pipe organ and ornate pulpit. Stained glass windows adorn the exterior along w/gargoyles and other unique carvings. Museum is fabulous with many items from the medieval times.

Compared to the more popular Doumo I think this church gets missed by a lot of people but it's really charming. It's definitely smaller, but it's also free to enter, and if there's a line to enter it lasts less than five minutes (or it did for me). The walls are all painted and it's really impressive, and it feels... More

This Renaissance style church was built between 1503-18 and is located in the historical center of Milan. The attached former Benedictine convent now serves as Milan's Archeological Museum and even the church is occasionally used for other purposes. The exterior façade is unassuming and covered with gray stone from Ornavasso but the 2-story Baroque interior is simply overwhelming as it's... More

This is a must see tour, especially if you can get Fedra as a guide. Her enthusiasm for the places visited was great. To then end the tour with The Last Supper was absolutely amazing. A must see

We visited this Church with a guide, it was really amazing. Wall frescoes and paintings, beautifully decorated. Not so popular for tourists but highly recommended.

I live in Milan but I visited this church only recently for the first time. It is wonderful even if the quality of some painting looks rather simple. Take the chance to visit also Milan historical museum just asides

See some fine multi-hued artwork depicting scenes from christian texts the late 15th and early 16th century on the plaster coated walls of this old church. Most have been restored. Don't mis the ornate church organ and ceiling artwork. Some frescoes were evidently done by students of Leonardo da Vinci. There is an imitation of the "Last Supper" as well... More

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
