This church is a hidden gem. The history and frescos are astounding. We were on a tour with Deborah Robinson (Milan Walking Tours/Unique Factory Tours) and she surprised us with a visit to this church. After seeing the church through her eyes, it became apparent...More

I loved this place. It was amazing. The frescoes are out of this world. It is free although I went as part of a tour. Outside the church looks like a plain ‘just another church. You’ll be taken aback when you enter!!

Free to visit, this stunning church and monastery is quite small, but quite breathtaking. Every inch of the interior has been painted with beautiful frescos and should not be missed. There are two main rooms, both of which are equally impressive. Photography is allowed.

Don't let the exterior fool you here. While it may not look like much from outside inside it's a very different matter. The frescoes are amazing

We stumbled across this church on our way elsewhere. It has amazing murals that cover all of its walls and ceilings. It's free but there is a donations box. Of the 20+ churches we visited in Italy on our trip there was nothing else quite...More

Hi Freddyblu! Although the church of San Maurizio is still consecrated, masses are no longer being celebrated there. Nevertheless, you should visit the church to see its beautiful frescoes.
