Amazing frescoes adorn every inch of this church you can take photos but don't use a flash. Near to the Last Supper and an easy walk to the castle and Cathedral.

We visited this church and it did worth indeed. In fact, from my perspective, this is the best historic site in Milano. The architecture of this church and its 15th century wall paintings are exceptional. The entrance is free but you should consider making a donation for those volunteers managing the site and helping visitors with valuable information. A must... More

Behind the rather insignificant facade we discovered a beautiful little monastery church with almost romantic decorations in rich colours. A true must see!! Can be seen in 10 minutes - but it is worth staying much longer!

Loved this beautiful tiny church. Amazing frescoes full of colour and light. The last supper was our favourite fresco. Free admission.

Downtown, just ten minutes walk from Piazza Duomo, you do not want to miss this gem It is a Church split inside in two parts as in the past the Sisters attended the Mass in a segregated section. This is the section you should not miss. You will be amazed by the architecture (the arches, the windows, the roof), the... More

In the middle of Milan you can find this medieval jewel that only locals know about it. It is s church with the most beautiful frescos that you can get in Italy. This church was untouched during Second World War and you can enjoy the magnificence of each painting and the architecture of the building. A must see.

If you are just passing by this church because of its simple facade, you are making a big mistake. The frescoes inside are no less in artistic quality as any masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance. Go in and see for yourself!

We went for a walk and found Magenta quite attractive. We saw some people coming into a church, went in a BAM! FRESCOES EVERYWHERE. It is so beautiful, every inch of it its covered with amazing frescoes of beautiful colours. The pillars, the ceiling. Everywhere. There is a tiny door on the left (which I was hesitant to enter and... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
