This church is know for having the 2nd largest dome after Florence. It's an enormous church with some beautiful chapels. In particular is the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary. It's spectacular.

Behind the imposing Lombard Gothic style brick façade is a beautiful church with several side chapels with interesting art.
The Baroque stuccoes were added in the 15th century.

Discovered this incredible church meandering around Pavia and it is certainly impressive. It was shut when we were there but would love to see inside. It will definitely be on our to do list when we return to Pavia.

Worth a visit to see inside this church. Lovely paintings and a great ceiling. Interesting side chapels.

There are a number of side chapels that contain 16c paintings, I believe, but the lighting is too dim. However, the remains of 15c wall paintings are on some of the columns, vaulting, and the walls near the entrance.

Very nice architecture in the heart of downtown Pavia. The piazza around the church gives you a feeling that great gathering once took place in this location.

Lovely facade of this beautiful old church nestled in the old town centre.
Quite relaxing atmosphere even around it in this nice square where lots of restaurants surround the square.
All in all it has been a good surprise and in my opinion a beautiful architecture mastepiece.
