The town of Orta San Guilio is picture perfect, but is busy and parking is a bit of a hassle. I think it would be difficult if you needed a wheelchair. Worth the effort to visit if you like old architecture.

This is probably the most unspoilt of the Italian Lakes and well worth visiting, especially the peaceful island of San Guilo.

Sitting in the piazza people and island watching good for the soul! It is possible to walk almost around the peninsula both ways.
