On the way out of Torino, we were driving with friends by the Stadio Filadelfia and decided to take a look. As we walked, we saw the preserved old section of the stadium and we immediately felt the screaming voices who shouted while standing there in the past. Once inside the stadium, we were immediately wrapped in a warm atmosphere. The Turin squad was scrimmaging under a hot sun and about 500 to 1,000 fans were cheering players on when they were performing unusual moves or passes. I could feel how this place is the 'heart' of the Torino squad. A home away from home where one forgets reality and absorbs the emotions that a soccer game can project. By the way, the stadium was open and free for all! An unique experience regardless of the team one is 'tifoso' in Italy... AND I must add, if the Superga tragedy, the 'Azzurri' with the Torino players would have won a World Cup in 1950 and/or 1954.…

I was brought there by local friends who told me the story beyond the new stadium. When there I was sincerely disappointed: it is a very small stadium with just one part covered. The size, to give an idea, is an high school stadium in USA, nothing less, nothing more. The area around is not very attractive either, so it was a big waste of time.…
