The castle is very close to the city (by car took us only 5 minutes and I think it is a shuttle bus too). Walking on its walls has a great view of the city. You can also go in the castle's rooms in 2...More

Castle beautifully situated outside of Bolzano - walk, bike or take the the courtesy bus from the city. Rooms are expertly restored and provide a glimpse into the lives of the middle age gentry.

A amazing castle built on a rock. Was a very interesting castle with paintings that were done so long ago. Well worth the visit

Beautiful Castle at the foot of the mountains. Great views. Has a steep walk up to the Castle on an uneven stone walk way but definitely worth the walk.

Castle Roncolo was not your classic fairy tale castle. It was worth the visit, not recommended for young children or people with limited walking ability. Lots of steps and stairs.
