This is one of the many places to visit in Padova. I recommend taking a tour through the various distinctive historical spots in Padova with a guide. Aesthetically is doubtless the beauty, but this small treasure has to be unfolded by the explanation of historical events happened through ages as depicted from the great artists hands that drew this museum.

We visited this museum on a rainy day. The ticket included the Baptistry which is close by. The museum is the palace of the bishops, so there were lots of portraits of the bishops over the centuries. I liked the beautiful metalwork in gold and silver on display in a side room. The bathrooms were very clean and modern.

This is worth visiting for the main salon alone, but there are also some beautifully illustrated manuscripts and other artefacts to admire in the main museum. There was also an exhibition of modern art at the time we visited, which was a complete contrast. A leaflet in English would have been helpful but I suppose we just need to learn... More

My wife and I had just left the Padova Duomo when we noticed the sign for the Museo Diocesano d Padova. We when in, paid a small fee, and were given a private tour of the beautiful Bishops Palace. The main hall is spectacular with paintings of all the pass bishops on the walls. It reminded us of the Palace... More
