One really shouldn't visit Padua without taking a stroll around this expansive park with its canals, statues, lawns and trees. As it cools off in summer and the shadows lengthen the plaza comes alive as it seems to be a favoured spot for locals as well as tourists, like me.

If you are in Padova, this is the first obvious place to visit and well worth it. The space is huge and just beautiful.

The Prato is always beautiful whatever time or season.. in summer many couples come just to sit and relax on the grass under the trees, and on every Saturday there is a huge market all the way around the Prato circle

One of the largest squares in Europe Just sit for a while, look all around, breathe, enjoy. Easy to reach by car, there is a wide park directly on one side.

Great Open Market in the centre of Padova. Everything you want and more on Saturdays! Look for the fresh pasta to go place at 5 euros a pop on Via Roma. Incredible! Just look for the line of people outside and down the street.

This could be one of the largest and most beautiful squares of Italy. The calming sensation, sculptures, sounds of running water blended with the sights of couples sitting on the grass all with a background of gentle bustling sounds of the flea market nearby make this place unforgettable. This is a must in Padova even if you have to cancel... More

This is supposed to be the largest square in Europe. Yes it is very large with small stream , pathways an pond. The nice green grass and tall trees with leeves has a great combination. Only issue was when we visited on a Saturday there was a fare and had stalls around the square. Hence was a bit crowded.

I am here for a kind of business. It is so nice to walk around this area after working time. It is a huge place that you instantly come across while you are walking in the city streets.

It's a very large park in the center of the city full of couples sitting in the grass and people walking around. Near the park you can find a flee market we call it "plac" or "buvljak" and you can see natural fruits and vagetables it's kind of small market but you can also by chlothes and shoes. The bridge...
