Must see when in Padua

A little hard to get access. Once inside just sit down and closely examine the pictures. Just so interesting.

This is a must see in Padua. Attached to the Basilics of Saint Antony (other gem to see) it is something breathtaking. The entrance is hidden as well as the place where to buy tickets - a small chapel right of the Basilics. On the first floor you enter to the big aula with huge 4m high renaissance frescoes all... I bought a ticket to both Oratorio di San Giorgio and Scoletta del Santo. The interior is relatively small, but very impressive. There are 4 frescoes by Tizian and works by many other artists presenting scenes from life of San Antonio. The place has a wonderful atmosphere, you can sit there comfortably and enjoy art. Highly recommended!

Famous in the Art world for it's 3 frescoes by Titian . The other frescoes pale a little bit in comparison Other well known painters include B.Montagna (1512) from Vicenza and Tessari del santo from Padua .

Worth a visit for the 3 Titians. The Oratory visit felt superfluous after visiting Santo Antonio though.

Above the oratorio di San Giorgio and you can buy a joint ticket. No One else was there when we visited, and the paintings and frescoes were lovely, if the attribution may be slightly questionable

My family and I were the only ones visiting this museum early in the morning as soon as they opened. We literally sat down and enjoyed the huge paintings surrounding us so peacefully.

Impressive and deeply felt. Whether you believe in miracles or not, there is a presence here. I am not Catholic, although I am Christian, and I followed the "Pilgrim" path thru the Basilica. The side Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament was stunning.
