We didn't really know what to expect from a "free" walking tour. However, the tour we had and the experience provided by Andreas, our guide, was up to and beyond the standard of most of the much more expensive tours we took in Venice and...More

So the weather forecast said rain, so we checked to see if we could re-book, but this would only happen in the event of very heavy rain. So we arrived as part of a group of about 7 persons. Jo was knowledgeable, although made one...More

As far as tours go, this one was pretty average for me. I’ve done a lot of ‘free’ tours all over the world, and this one didn’t rate. Not much about the history of Venice, a lot of mucking around at the start of the...More

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying

for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

I think it would be a bit rushed to try to do 2 in a day. Maybe book the morning one and then see how you feel. They seem very flexible. One lady started the tour on one day and finished it with us the following day.
