1) Your tour operator should be able to pick you up at your cruise terminal if you
are touring/staying out of the Venice island. If you have to meet your tour operator
it is most likely to be at the Bus/Train terminal at Piazza Roma which is not far from
the cruise pier and can be reached by either walking, Vaporetto or People Mover.
Change the tour operator if it is more complicated than that.
2) You don't really need a tour guide in Venice and the islands of Murano, Burano
and Torcello as you can easily get around by water taxi (vaporetto) and walking
which you have to do in Venice. Vaporetto has many lines and stops and is very
frequent, cheap and not too crowded.
3) Google TripAdvisor's website on Venice and you can get all the information you
need on Vaporetto, what to see and do, maps etc.
Enjoy your stay in Venice.
