This is the main tourist stop in Venice. It's in the middle of everything, crossing the Grand Canal. There are many bridges but only 3 cross the Grand Canal and this is the main one. Stores line both sides of the bridge. Rubber tomahawk anyone?

Yes, it's beautiful. Passing under it on a vaparetto is nice. The area, however, is chock full of tourists. The history of this site is interesting.

If you visit Venice it’s definitely worth a visit, not too many tourists in January and whilst cold it was dry and pleasant. Lots of little shops both side of the bridge.

This is an iconic location and a picture must be taken, but as far as the restaurants and shops go - don't bother... No deals to haggling on prices with vendors when you know you can other places. There isn't anything unusual here, so take...More

The Rialto bridge is a 'must see' sight in any visit to Venice. One of the few crossing points of the Grand Canal, the bridge is a beautiful piece of architecture. The place is bustling with tourists and provides loads of photo opportunities. Make sure...More

Everyone has seen so many "shots" of this famous place. It is extremely interesting, lined with little shops of all types, and in a neighborhood full of restaurants. Of course, it is best visited in the offseason, as I did this time.

A beautiful bridge which was much bigger than I expected with lots of little shops. It does get very crowded so a good way to see it is either from the water bus of from the service gondola, the service gondola is just €2 pp...More

We drove there by car till the city limits and took a water taxi, but if I remember reading correctly you can arrive at the train station and there should be a bus service that takes you there.
