Originally built as a lighthouse to assist navigation in the lagoon, visitors can be whisked by elevator to the top of St. Mark's Campanile or bell tower to savor incredible views of Venice, the lagoon and the Alps in the distance.

Get off at the train station, pull bags across town, fight through tourists, look at busy water buses, put up with tired children- open out onto St Marks Square and everyone goes quiet.. because it's that good

There was a long queue but it moved surprisingly quickly. I know that there are websites that sell "skip the line" tickets for a total of 11€ but it felt like that wasn't really needed. The elevator up to the top of the tower is...More

The queue was not that long and it took about 30 minutes to get to the ticket counter. A "skip the line" ticket will get you to the elevator immediately. The view from the top is excellent. You can appreciate how the canals work and...More

Even when the queue is big do not fret as it moves pretty fast. Worth the price you pay as you can view Venice and far away. Worth the standing session .

It has a unique view of Venice. You get the whole picture of Venice from above and understand it much more how great it was once. Buy the tickets online before arriving because there is a very long queue.

We purchased the skip-the-line pass & walked past the massive queue right into the lift! Incredible views! Be warned the bells go off every 15min and are very loud haha.

This was a great view after seeing the Doges Palace and the Basilica. With the skip the line pass, it was nice to get in through the side door, easy to locate, and get on the elevator first. You must wait in line to come...More

Gorgeous views of Venice and the surrounding lagoon and islands. Unlike the campanile in Florence, this one has an elevator, which is great if you don't feel like climbing 400+ stairs. I highly recommend you buy a timed entry ticket in advance from Venetoinside or...More

We went up here twice. One in the morning, and because the views were so good, we returned a day later for the sunset. It is a really good vantage point to watch the beautiful pink Venetian sunset from, and provides great 360 degree views...More

Its pretty easy just to buy them on the day when you get there. The ticket office is inside the tower. There is always a queue but its the queue for the elevator to the top anyway, you are all going to the same place. €8 for... More

I don't think you need to buy in advance. In my case there wasn't even a line.
