I am a book nerd so any type of cool or unusual book store or library is Heaven to me. Yes this book store is super touristy but who cares. It is fun and it's a freakin book store so just be happy and enjoy!...More

This bookstore is in a long, narrow space that feels more like an alleyway. The entry is from a patio and the entire space feels somewhat rustic. Sometimes, during the city's seasonal Aqua Alta flooding, the floor is under water! The books are generally pre-owned,...More

Beautiful little book shop in Venezia! You can sit in a real gondola for free just for the experience and a quick tourist-picture ;) Don't miss the view from on top of the books in the backyard! Stroll through the bathing tub full of art...More

Yes, the title is representative of what I saw. It gets very crowded since more people taking photos (of themselves) rather than combing through the treasure books. Unique place I should say. Piles of books everywhere, most of them in Italian.

What a wonderful bookshop - old and new, quaint postcards and trinkets customised for the shop itself, gondolas full of all kinds of literature in every language imaginable, even found an old soul record digging amongst the collections. Go here when in Venice, it's a...More

This was a crowded bookstore when I arrived in late afternoon. Some very nice titles if you want to buy. I think most folks were there for picture taking and curiosity. In spite of the crowds, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

As it usually happens in Venice, you can spend ages to find the place, if you're eager to and stumble in it by chance, if you forget. It's about me. I was looking for it two years ago, but in vain. This September I turned...More

Nothing special just books. However the back of the store does have steps made out of books. The store also has a pet cat which was beautiful!

Ensure you have lots of time to find this place. It’s pretty hidden. It is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It’s cool but not as amazing as I had hoped. Wouldn’t be on my top 10.

Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri
(districts), and the only one not facing onto the
Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated
within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over
one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side
streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals
criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a

Whenever I have been there during the day it has been open, so 09.00 (maybe 10.00) to 18.00 is usual. Even Sunday I think. Regards
