Cute spot to grab a pint

This little pub was perfect to grab a pint when we were dying to sit down at the bar and just relax.

Stopped here when we were visiting Venice and we're served a very scrumptious hamurger for lunch. A guiness and a burger in Italy. What more could you ask for. Deliciouso!!

Stopped in today to get berated by the bartender - guess she was having a bad day and wanted me to know! Thanks for nothing! Thought it would be a cool place - as I'm Irish and was looking for someone to relate to - so far from home. Not! I'm nice!

Dear Paige, in the last days the pub was packed with cutumers, no one of us (girls bartenders) remaind you, we apologize all if you found one of us unfriendly, but we haven't had enough time to chit chat with custumers but if they were fun or not. Wishing you all the best for the new year! The irish pub More

This is a small pub but with a good selection and very friendly barman. The tv and music was great. Prices are very reasonable. Before leaving we asked the barman owner for a recommendation for a local pizza place and we thoroughly enjoyed his recommendation. Thank you , as we werent able to go back and thank him.

Refused to show Scotland rugby match on one screen (there are 4 in pub) even though pub was by no means full as Ireland game was on at same time. Changed the channel when two of his friends requested that the channel on that one screen was changed. Was an arrogant and aggressive patron which was disappointing given the amazing... More

Dear Custumer, we kindly apologize if you found our manager rude and agressive, maybe the sound of his voice was to laud because of the incredible amount of people in the pub at that moment. We see your point, we knew that the match was important to you infact we tried our best to make it: but as we told... More

Good atmosphere, good beer, and very pleasant staff. We spend there two nights in the roll as it was so close to our hotel and best in the area.

Full of Brits and beer. Good selection of taps and decent prices (especially for Venice). Our mainstay pub when we visit the city. Cheers!

Several screens showing different football games including EPL. Reasonable selection of drinks at above average prices. Sandwich / hotdog snacks. Nothing special, but if you are desperate for football this place will deliver.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
