Ok church that contains the relics of saint lucia
Probably the only reason to go in this church is to view the remains of Saint Lucia or Lucy that are on an altar. Legend has it your eyesight will improve if you pay her a visit. I guess she is the patron saint of eyes . Otherwise, only of interest if you are a church fanatic.…

Interesting Little Church Close to Train Station
We stopped by the church of St Lucy a couple of times whilst walking around Venice. Located fairly closely to the train station it is easy to access and has a square out front to relax in and soak up the site.

A find for those interested in religious history..
The origin of this church dates to the 11th century and was rebuilt on this site more than once. It is a shrine containing the relic remains of Saint Lucia an early Christian martyr. The train station nearby was named for this saint.

Nice but not outstanding
The tourist path close to the northern bank of the Canal Grande passes the Campo (square) San Genesio with the nice church close to the sestiere of Cannaregio. The church forms the imposing conclusion of this wide opening square. The inside is less spectacular compared with…

Relics
This is a fantastic church located in a nice little square, once inside the architecture is quite impressive but the real reason to visit in the relic of Santa Lucia, it’s really quite amazing.
