Amazing paintings and frescoes.

Discovered this church whilst wandering the streets of Venice. The paintings and frescoes inside are beautiful.

This one is situated quite close to Piazza San Marco. The interior has some quite impressive religious paintings decorating the walls and ceiling. Exterior also looks good, but not so easy to get a full photo.

Seems as though alot of care has been taken to help preserve this church. I came across it accidentally and it was a very happy accident.

The church is very nice and it is worth to stop for a visit. Although the church is crammed in a small place and there is almost no place outside to take a picture of the beautiful facade, it is one of the best renaissance churches in Venice. Excellent work of Sansovino and Vittoria, it has nice altars and paintings... More

The most beautiful church in Venice and Don Massinilano is the sweetest man. My husband and I renewed our 25th wedding anniversary vows at the church on July 13th. It was the most beautiful, magical experience of our lives.

Beautiful, church off the beaten path. Wonderful artwork. In 10 minutes, Father Luigi formed a community from 60 strangers from around the world. We celebrated Mass in English, and afterward all took selfies with him. He wore a Cleveland Cavaliers shirt, and helped us win the championship.

The structure houses beautiful ceiling paintings, marble and stone figures and statues, wooden seats and even the floors and altar pieces are made of marble and stunning paintings along the walls.

If you're in the area, drop into this church and stare for a while at the beautiful ceiling. Other than that, there's not much that's remarkable about this church. It's small and fairly dark.

The streets of Venice are narrow, filled with people and bustling. Walk into la chiesa di San Zulian and you've walked into a slice of heaven away from the bustling crowds. Take a moment to sit in silence. Enjoy this little local church. Close your eyes and feel the silence that can be found in a chaotic (yet wonderful) city.... More

This was one of the most beautiful church's that we came across in Venice a while back. Loved the side alters and the main alter with the lovely arch and side alter on each side. The ceilings were out of this world.Started taking photos of it and with shock the battery went dead, what disappointment as we still had much to... Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
