So easy to get to by water taxi from Venice! About 3 stops and you are in Lido. Walk straight about a half mile to some of the most incredible beaches. There are plenty of restaurants and bars there also. Don't spend all your time...More

We loved the beach. It was a great mixture of people all shapes and sizes 😊and not a posing beach we walked the length of it. Everyone was enjoying themselves collecting cockles, paddling , sunbathing and kids digging. Facilities available for showers, foot baths, beach huts....More

Perfect beach water was abit cold but you do get use to it. I would only say that there are alot of sea weed whilst swimming however, that should not spoil your beach tanning and swimming. Very cool place to chill

We visited the Lido and found a busy but relaxing beach. The sea is clear and warm and it is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A lovely stroll along the main avenue with shops, cafes and bars which...More

A nice beach, from the vaporetto stop it is about a 20 minute walk to the beach. It is very clean. You can hire umbrellas and beds. There are also places to eat. Worth a visit if you have time.

Went to the first public beach after walking from the vaporetto stop. Town seems like a Miami Beach 1960's throw back style wise. The beach has brown silty sand, no waves, lots of seaweed. Certainly not attractive. But had never been to the Adriatic and...More

Nice to chill out on the Jettys close to the beautiful city of Venice. Unusual setting as not sandy but still nice if you want to sun bathe.

A public free beach just a valporretta ride away from the city centre. A more relaxed feel to the area. An inexpensive day out, if you take own provisions. You have to pay for toilets, so have some change handy, or stop for a drink...More

Yes, the fruit and veg shop was very good along the main drag towards the beach area on the left. Fresh produce, the cake shop on the other side of the road had nice breads and pastries. Some clothes but not many, some nice... More

Yes, as Kitty, said take the Alilaguna Ferry, which goes direct to Lido. If you go to the Alilaguna website, they have a timetable and cost of fares.
