In Verona make sure you visit the arena and this, the Torre dei Lamberti. We took the lift to the top and it was worthwhile - great views across the city. One watch out though - the bells do chime on the half hour - quite a shock if not expecting it!!

The Torre dei Lamberti is a picturesque bell tower located near Piazza Erbe, one of two primary plazas in Verona. Climb the steps to the top for a spectacular view of the city and surrondings. Make sure to enjoy an ice cream at the gellateria below afterwards to cool off.

We love climbing towers and this was a good one! The kids didn't want to go in the museum, but I heard it was great.

We paid five euros person to go in so that we could go to the top and see the most amazing view of Verona , it was a beautiful clear day with blue skies and sunshine so it would have been criminal not to do this . We decided to walk up the steps to the viewing points as we... More

The tower is further in from the piazza Erbe and shows the style and power that the wealthy families of Verona had.

The top third of the tower - where the stairs curve and from above resemble an eye - was closed when I visited, but the bell platform still provided a beautiful panoramic view over the city and countryside. There are easily 200 steps to get up this high but there is also an elevator, which I regretted not using by... More

You get a good view of central Verona in an easy way. A lift takes you almost all the way to the topp. But really nothing special.

Spectacular view of Verona. A bit of a waiting in the que but it was ok. It was free when we were there. I dont know why. A bit more information about the history and the purpose of the tower would have been nice.

From the top of the tower there is an amazing view over Verona. A lift takes you up and it is a nice way of seeing the city.
