Something to walk through/under

It was interesting but once you path through, that was it. Enjoy it for the historical value of it. The town is just full of history and this is one of those structures.

Its a monument in the inner city of Verona. Not something special but a monument you can pass, observe it and go.

This 14th-century marble and red-brick gateway brings visitors into the southern end of Piazza Bra, Verona's main square and the home of a Roman arena built in the first century. The gateway features two Romanesque arches, a big working clock and a nearby pentagonal defensive tower. Portoni della Bra was one of the first works of ancient architecture that I... More

By this portal you enter to the famous piazza Bra; a famous portal, ther are many of this in Verona, but this one is particulary nice in the heart of Verona; you will find many parkings around; it's a reference point in the city, for a nice visit.

Picturesque gateway arch at the entrance to Piazza Bra and Verona's main plaza which features the ancient Roman Arena, a mini-Colisseum, 2000 years old. Arch is a good photo op, check out its ornate clock at the center.

It is the gateway to the Arena and the old town. Good "time stamp" for your pictures when you entered Verona through this gate due to the watch in the middle. However it is nothing to go out of your way in case you don't want to.

It's old. You pass by it several times as you wander the tourist area. Take a look but don't go out of your way to find it.

Impressive gateway to the central area of the city. Strangely unlit at night other than by the street lighting, ornate clock in the middle.

We walked from Porta Nuova train station into Verona on our day trip and when we reached this gate and saw the Arena we knew we'd arrived! Good for a photo before moving onto our planned visits.

This marks the entrance to the old town and all its sights. The gate itself is not overly ornate but worth a photo before you move on
