This feels to me from the outside like two very different churches glued together. The large apse lantern and dome don't quite work in sympathy with the rest of the building from the outside but they both work individually and they work from the inside....More

This Duomo lacka athosphere and artistic, decorative intelligence. Just the opposite of the very beautiful Duomo of Brescia. The only reason to go in is to pray or to see the Veneziano altarpiece helas presented behind a very badly reflecting thick glass,

The Cathedral of Vicenza was almost entirely destroyed during WWII and later rebuilt so it looks somewhat new. The original dome and the northern entrance were designed by Palladio.

The church is interesting to visit because of its huge size and importance for Vicenza. Although in Italy You can meet more decorated churches.
