Palazzo Carcassone is an apartment building. It was built towards the end of the 15th century in the Jewish quarter of Alghero and became the residence of the wealthy Carcassona family.. The portal shows Catalan fan-shaped dressed stones. During the Spanish inquisition in 1492 Sardinian Jews were expelled. It is said but not confirmed by documents that the Carcassonas converted...
